We recognise their valuable contributions to Australian and global society.

About This Opportunity

Join a small, collaborative Indigenous Engagement team where relationships, respect and meaningful connection are at the heart of the work. You’ll contribute to Indigenous-focused projects and partnerships across UQ’s Faculty of Science, working with students, staff, communities and Indigenous organisations to support culturally respectful engagement.  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Organise and support stakeholder engagement, community consultation, meetings and events, preparing materials and facilitating respectful participation by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders.

  • Provide high-quality project and administrative support, including diary and schedule coordination, project documentation, financial administration, data management and the use of project management systems.

About You

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing responsibilities, meet deadlines and deliver accurate, high-quality work, with the confidence to exercise initiative and judgement in a dynamic organisational environment.

  • Project management and multitasking experience, with an agile and flexible approach and the ability to use, or quickly learn, project management programs.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams, along with a demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity and inclusion, ethical practice and workplace health and safety.
