Position Summary
Acuren is seeking an RT2 Technician to support our maintenance team on night shift at our client's Shell Scotford site in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The successful candidate will perform radiographic testing to assess equipment and piping integrity, interpret and document inspection results, and work closely with the maintenance team to support safe, reliable site operations. This role requires a strong commitment to radiation safety, quality, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
Position Information:
- Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per shift (Night shift)
- Full time permanent position
- Candidates are required to be local to Edmonton or surrounding area
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic testing on piping, welds, and equipment in support of maintenance activities.
- Interpret and evaluate radiographic images in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Prepare accurate inspection reports and communicate findings to the maintenance team.
- Coordinate inspection activities with site personnel and follow Shell Scotford and Acuren safety policies during night-shift operations.
- Utilize written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and teamwork.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with Clients.
Requirements
- CGSB Level 2 (RT2) Certification required
- Additional CGSB certifications considered an asset
- Exceptional safety and quality awareness
- Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
- Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
- Valid driver's license
