We are currently seeking a Waste Collection Helper to join our team. This is a hands-on, physically active role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a team that keeps our communities clean.

 

Essential Job Summary:

 

 

Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

What You'll Do

• Collect and load refuse from residential and commercial customer locations into collection vehicles
• Assist drivers with safe maneuvering, backing, and positioning of sanitation trucks
• Ride on and off collection vehicles throughout the route
• Learn assigned routes and provide support to drivers during collection operations
• Participate in vehicle cleaning and daily housekeeping activities
• Attend required safety meetings, training sessions, and operational meetings
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

What We're Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing 50-75+ pounds
• Ability to safely mount and dismount trucks throughout the workday
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to work closely with drivers and coworkers
• Previous sanitation, waste collection, construction, landscaping, moving, labor, warehouse, or other physically demanding work is a plus

Salary Range Minimum

USD $18.23/Hr.
