THE ROLE: Digital Imaging Specialist--Part-time Onsite

 

We’re looking for…

Every product image on Rue La La and Gilt passes through our digital imaging team before shoppers see it. As an On-Call Digital Imaging Specialist, you'll process, retouch and quality-check imagery from our own studio and our vendors. Reporting to our Lead Imager, you'll step in during our busiest production periods to keep images moving from capture to site. Ideal for imaging specialists who enjoy variety and a fast-paced studio. Rue La La and Gilt passes through our digital imaging team before shoppers see it. As an On-Call Digital Imaging Specialist, you'll process, retouch and quality-check imagery from our own studio and our vendors. Reporting to our Lead Imager, you'll step in during our busiest production periods to keep images moving from capture to site. Ideal for imaging specialists who enjoy variety and a fast-paced studio.  This position is Onsite at our fullfillment center in Shepherdsville, KY.

What You’ll Do:

• Image processing: Edit, re-crop and resize imagery to meet our image quality and crop guidelines. 

• Retouching: Clean up product images in Photoshop so every item is shown accurately and at its best. 

• Automation: Use the team's scripts and actions to process images quickly and efficiently 

• Quality assurance: QA imagery for color, crop and consistency before it goes live. 

• File management: Keep files organized and named to our established scheme so every image is easy to find and track. 

• Flexibility: Move between image sources and tasks as production needs change. 

About You:

You're a detail-oriented imaging specialist who can work through a high volume of images without losing sight of quality. You're comfortable switching between tasks, quick to pick up new processes, and always looking for a smarter way to get the work done. 

 Experience and background needed 

 Technical skills 

• Production retouching experience, ideally in a high-volume e-commerce or studio environment 

• Strong command of Adobe Photoshop, including adjustment layers, layer masks, Healing Brush and Clone Stamp 

• Experience using actions and scripts to automate repetitive work 

• Strong eye for color and detail 

• Organized and careful with file management 

• Comfortable working on a Mac 

• Flexible with shifting priorities 

• Working knowledge of Capture One is a bonus

Expected Salary Range: $18/hr
