Description
Rutherford County drivers: southeast reefer miles and a company that hires new CDL grads.
Refrigerated freight moves year-round, which means steady miles for you. New CDL-A holders start with a paid mentor before running solo.
The money
- Paid every week during training
- $1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
- About $1,200 a week once solo
- About 2,100 miles a week
- Weekly direct deposit
Your week
Reefer lanes across the Southeast and Ohio Valley. Live loads and live unloads. Out about two weeks, then home.
New CDL? Here is the path
- Call: we check your license and record with you first. No surprises later.
- Orientation: up to 2 days, hotel covered, bus fare reimbursed, $300 once hired.
- Training: 4 to 6 weeks one-on-one with a mentor, paid every week.
- Solo: your own assigned truck, fleet average about 1.5 years old. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.
Nervous about your first driving job? Fair.
- "How often will I see home?" Every two weeks.
- "I am not good at backing yet." Nobody is on day one. You practice for weeks with a mentor beside you before you drive alone.
- "Do I pay for orientation?" No. Hotel covered, bus ticket reimbursed, and $300 once you are hired.
- "Does my CDL school count?" If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
- "What if my first solo weeks are slow?" You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo.
