- Interested in building foundational experience in compliance, risk management, data enablement, reporting, automation, or financial services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with gathering, organizing, validating, and analyzing compliance-related data under the guidance of Data Enablement team members.
- Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards, trackers, reports, and summaries that help convert data into clear and actionable information for Compliance stakeholders.
- Perform assigned analysis to identify trends, exceptions, data quality issues, or process improvement opportunities, and summarize observations in a clear and practical manner.
- Document data sources, definitions, assumptions, process steps, and reporting logic to support consistency, transparency, and repeatability across Compliance data activities.
- Help test and review reports, trackers, and automation outputs to confirm information is complete, accurate, and aligned with the assigned objective.
- Learn and apply analytical, reporting, and automation tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL, Power Automate, or other approved tools used by the Compliance department.
- Assist with maintaining data inventories, reference materials, templates, job aids, and other resources that support data literacy and consistent data practices.
- Participate in team meetings and project discussions, prepare questions in advance when appropriate, and provide timely updates on assigned work.
- Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks by meeting deadlines, escalating questions or roadblocks, and incorporating feedback into work products.
- Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail when working with compliance, business, or customer-related information.
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program in data analytics, business analytics, information systems, computer science, finance, accounting, economics, compliance, risk management, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance or demonstrated experience through coursework, projects, internships, student organizations, or work experience involving data analysis, reporting, research, business process improvement, or technology-enabled problem solving.
- Interest in learning how compliance, risk management, financial services, and data practices work together to support effective oversight and business decision-making.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work accurately with data, follow instructions, and identify patterns, inconsistencies, or improvement opportunities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required, including comfort with formulas, sorting, filtering, organizing data, and reviewing information for accuracy; exposure to pivot tables, lookup formulas, Power Query, or structured data cleanup preferred.
- Exposure to data visualization, reporting, or dashboarding tools such as Power BI or similar platforms preferred.
- Exposure to basic data querying, scripting, or automation concepts through SQL, Python, Power Automate, macros, low-code/no-code tools, or similar technologies preferred.
- Interest in using approved generative AI, agentic AI, and automation tools responsibly to improve workflows, summarize information, document processes, support analysis, and reduce manual effort.
- Ability or willingness to develop clear prompts, evaluate AI-generated outputs critically, identify incomplete or inaccurate results, protect confidential information, and validate outputs before use.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize findings, document work performed, and explain questions or observations clearly.
- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, accountability, coachability, and willingness to learn new tools, processes, and compliance concepts.
- Ability to collaborate professionally with team members and business partners while maintaining a positive attitude and respect for different working styles and perspectives.
- Ability to understand and comply with bank policies, applicable laws and regulations, and expectations for professional conduct and confidentiality.
Work Environment:
It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week.
