Job Description
As a Security Officer X Ray Imaging Screener in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with the public and site personnel. You will use sound judgment to identify and report security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Screen individuals and personal property using assigned screening equipment and procedures; report prohibited items, irregularities, and/or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry in accordance with established site procedures; direct visitors to appropriate check-in areas or personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and notifying appropriate law enforcement or site contacts.
- Maintain accurate logs and incident documentation, and conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas and nearby perimeter locations as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
