We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated Sales Representative to join our team.

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

Responsible for developing and growing relationships with customers across retail, grocery, and specialty food chains by expanding current and potential customers’ knowledge of Asher’s Chocolate Co and Brokerage lines within their territory, with the goal of increasing sales. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø Develop customer relationships in assigned territory, both for Asher’s Chocolate Co. and the brokerage lines of Robert Asher Associates

Ø Identify new sales opportunities and develop new accounts

Ø Follow up on leads and samples

Ø Work closely with our internal sales, customer service and operational teams.

Ø Visit key customers in designated sales territory as needed.

Ø Develop and maintain thorough product knowledge of Asher’s Chocolate Co. as well as companies represented by Robert Asher Associates

Ø Maintain up-to-date customer information in Salesforce.com

Ø Pursue leads received from outside inquiries and trade shows

Ø Work closely with other departments to understand the product and business

Ø Responsible for submitting weekly Sales Report for Asher’s Chocolate Co, as well as field reports for brokerage lines upon request

Ø Represent Asher’s at several trade shows and events throughout the year

Requirements

Qualifications:

Ø Solid track record of building customer relationships

Ø Strong ability to provide proactive communication with others (both written and oral)

Ø Self-motivated, organized, and goal oriented with a drive for success

Ø Ability to develop new business while maintaining existing accounts

Ø Provide a meticulous attention to detail

Ø Strong follow-up skills

Ø Comfortable working independently as well as part of a larger team.

Ø Proficient in MS Office products, Salesforce.com CRM, and Ross ERP

Ø Efficient in email and internet applications.

Ø Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

Ø Previous experience of 1-3 years of sales experience preferred

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.

Travel Requirements:

Approximately 40 nights per year attending tradeshows and/or customer visits.
