Formulation Operator
Location: Alpro- Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: £39,883.63 starting salary, rising to £41,545.45 once fully trained, plus shift allowance and an excellent range of benefits including pension, private healthcare, income protection and employee discounts.
Working Pattern: Full-time rotating shifts, including days, nights and weekends.

We're currently looking for a Formulation Operator to join our Kettering manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and monitor the formulation and blending process to meet production requirements.
- Maintain food safety, quality and operational standards at all times.
- Start up, operate and shut down manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement activities.
- Complete production records, stock checks and other operational documentation accurately.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
About You
We're looking for someone who is safety-focused, proactive and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- GCSEs (or equivalent)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience within a food manufacturing or manufacturing environment
- Understanding of food hygiene and allergen controls
- Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
Desirable
- FLT Licence
- HACCP training
- COSHH training
- Experience with Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems
- Experience working with automated manufacturing processes
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
