Logistics Associate

Location: Montego Bay

Reports to: Paul Garrick

Grade: SCPO

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm; Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

Position Summary

The Logistics Associate is responsible for picking, staging, verifying and shipping customer orders accurately, safely and on time. The role works closely with Customer Service, Production, Instant and Small Pack to ensure each order meets customer specifications and leaves the facility correctly labeled and loaded.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually pick full-case orders and stack them onto pallets using a scanner/tablet.
• Ensure proper staging and identification once an order has been completely picked.
• Operate material handling equipment (manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach truck and propane lift) to move pallets.
• Verify quantities, quality and proper labeling of products being shipped.
• Examine packaging and contents for conformance to customer specifications, and verify all information against the packing list and SAP.
• Coordinate with other departments, including Customer Service, Production, Instant and Small Pack.
• Assemble shipping boxes and induct them for packing.
• Prepare and apply shipping labels.
• Load packed boxes and pallets onto trailers.
• Identify items with quantity discrepancies and promptly communicate them to the Supervisor and/or Lead.
• Maintain 5S cleanliness of the picking area and pull completed shrink-wrapped orders to the dock for LTL packers.
• Follow all safety procedures and policies.
• Follow all warehouse procedures and policies.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

Experience

• One year of experience in a plant or warehouse environment.

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal directions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
