This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, learning construction skills, and helping keep a jobsite safe, clean, and organized. You’ll work directly with the Field Superintendent and project team to support daily construction activities and help keep the project moving forward.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the Field Superintendent with daily construction activities, general labor, material handling, and other jobsite tasks to support efficient field operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly jobsite by managing housekeeping, organizing storage areas, and helping establish and maintain temporary facilities, signage, barricades, and site security measures.
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, organizing, securing, and tracking material and equipment deliveries, keeping inventory records accurate and supplies accessible.
- Support field measurements, layout verifications, quantity tracking, and other basic construction activities as directed by the Field Superintendent.
- Observe work in progress to identify potential quality concerns, site issues, or schedule conflicts, and communicate findings to the appropriate team members.
- Support jobsite safety by assisting with daily inspections, monitoring proper use of personal protective equipment, following company and OSHA requirements, and promptly reporting unsafe conditions.
- Document project progress through photographs and field observations, help prepare and complete punch lists, protect completed work from damage, and keep tools and equipment organized.
What You’ll Bring
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Previous construction experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.
- A basic understanding of construction tools, materials, and jobsite safety practices.
- The ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction math.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, subcontractors, and coworkers.
- A positive, dependable, hands-on approach and the ability to perform physical work in varying weather conditions.
- A valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
