Business area Mining is a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service, digital solutions and sustainability-driving technologies for the mining and construction industries. Applications include rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunneling and quarrying.

 

This contract and costing specialist role will be a hybrid role requiring 3 days in office.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

The contract and costing specialist is responsible for generation of statistical reports, updating contract activity tables, as well as preparation of reports and statements regarding contract efficiency.

 

  • Develop, maintain, and refine cost models and estimates for service contracts, parts, labor rates, rebuilds, warranty work, and related service offerings.
  • Perform cost analysis, variance analysis (estimated vs. actual), margin analysis, and profitability reviews at the contract, branch, product, or customer level.
  • Support the development, review, and commercial evaluation of service contracts (including Support and Performance-style agreements), providing clear cost and pricing insights.
  • Track, analyze, and report on contract costs, budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators related to costing efficiency, warranty costs, and overall service financial performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of contract-related financial data, change impacts, and cost transactions; assist with reconciliations and basic audits as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Service Excellence colleagues, branch teams, warranty, operations, and finance to ensure data quality and consistent application of costing standards.

 

 

  • Prepare clear reports, summaries, and dashboards that support decision-making, standardization efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Service Excellence framework.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of playbooks, standards, and best practices related to contracts and costing.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of University
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial background activities:
    • Costing
    • Pricing Analysis
    • Contract Administration
    • Financial Analysis within industrial equipment, mining, heavy manufacturing, aftermarket/parts & services, or a similar technical service environment.
  • Expertise in MS office suite, heavy use of Excel, some Salesforce

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Power BI experience
  • Process Improvement / efficiency approach to work

 

Location: White Pine, TN or Elko, NV

 

Compensation Range: $90,000 to $104,000

 

Work authorization

Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship.
