Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Clinic Specialist, you will play a vital role in patient intake and administrative support, ensuring a smooth operational flow for the clinic.Every day, you will interview and schedule patients efficiently, collecting all basic insurance information required for services. You will be responsible for referring patients for financial counseling when necessary, ensuring they receive appropriate support. Additionally, you will perform various other duties to support the clinics, contributing to overall operational effectiveness. To be successful in this role, you will possess proven experience in patient scheduling, administrative support, or a customer service role, preferably within a healthcare clinic setting. You will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail in data collection, and strong interpersonal and communication abilities to interact effectively with patients and colleagues. A commitment to patient privacy and data security, along with adaptability to perform a variety of support tasks, will be essential in ensuring a positive patient experience and efficient clinic operations.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during all interactions while ensuring phone calls are answered promptly and communication remains strictly work-related.
- Verify patient identity using two forms of identification for every encounter to ensure 100% accuracy in medical record linkage.
- Provide and explain all required registration and regulatory documents while obtaining necessary signatures to ensure full patient compliance and privacy.
- Manage patient scheduling and registration by accurately inputting chief complaints, verifying insurance eligibility, and confirming that all required referrals are on file.
- Handle financial responsibilities by collecting co-payments, issuing accurate receipts, and verifying insurance or payer information to maximize reimbursement.
- Adhere to department protocols by using approved abbreviations, maintaining organized patient files, and resolving all patient or provider concerns without complaint.
Job Requirements
Required
- One (1) year experience registering patients in a medical office.
- Able to work various shifts and hours
