POSITION SUMMARY
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, supporting patient recovery and communication improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a program accredited by the Education Standards Board, or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements. REQUIRED
• Meet the education and experience requirements for the Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA. REQUIRED
• Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered. REQUIRED
• ASHA certification, as listed in the job description. REQUIRED
• CPR certification. REQUIRED
• Strong communication skills and clinical judgment. REQUIRED
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Rehabilitation or acute care experience.
