Returns & Quality Control Team Leader

Are you an organised people leader with a strong eye for detail and a passion for quality? We're looking for a Returns & Quality Control Team Leader to lead a small operational team, ensuring quality standards are maintained and customer returns are processed efficiently and accurately.

This is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, supporting and developing team members, and working closely with operational managers to drive continuous improvement. You'll play a key role in embedding our commitment to Performance & Quality Excellence, ensuring high standards, accountability and operational efficiency across the business.

The Role

As Returns & Quality Control Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Returns and Quality Control functions, ensuring products meet required standards and returns are processed within agreed timescales. You will lead and motivate a small team, manage resource planning, monitor KPIs, investigate quality issues, maintain accurate records and support initiatives that improve quality, productivity and customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or operational environment. Experience in Quality Control, Returns, Product Inspection or a similar function would be highly advantageous.

You should have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, be comfortable analysing performance data and producing reports, and have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across departments are essential.

Experience & Education

  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team within an operational, warehouse, manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Experience of quality control, inspections, returns processing or continuous improvement activities.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Math's.
  • A recognised Team Leader, Supervisory, Lean Manufacturing or Quality qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.

If you enjoy leading people, improving processes and making a real impact on operational performance, we'd love to hear from you.
