[AI Division] Data Engineer (FinTech × AI Startup)
[AI Division] Data Engineer This is a high-profile startup providing solutions for asset management, trading, and market making by leveraging cutting-edge AI technology in the financial industry. 1. Job Overview Leveraging your expertise in data engineering and financial data, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, construction, and operation of highly scalable, maintainable, and robust live production systems. In this position, you will work closely with data scientists to lead the construction and optimization of data pipelines that maximize business value.
Specific Duties
● Data Pipeline Construction: End-to-end management from requirements definition to operation and shutdown.
● Product Development & Operations: Continuous improvement and reliability enhancement of in-house AI solutions.
● Data Infrastructure Strengthening: Proposing and negotiating new data sources, onboarding, and compliance management.
● Technology Selection & Evaluation: Researching, evaluating, and promoting the implementation of new technologies that add value to products.
2. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience
● Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software development.
● Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. ● Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
(from low-level to high-level structures). ● Python Stack: Experience in data processing using Pandas and Numpy. ● Language/Residency: Japanese proficiency (JLPT N3 or higher) and currently
residing in Japan.
Preferred Skills & Experience
● Data Processing: Experience handling Big Data, out-of-core processing, and streaming data.
● Infrastructure/DevOps: Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure and IaC using Terraform. ● Workflows: Experience using ArgoWorkflow, Airflow, Prefect, etc. ● Programming: Knowledge of Golang, Rust, Java, etc. ● Domain Knowledge: Handling financial data (FX, Equities, ETFs) and knowledge of
ML frameworks (PyTorch, sklearn, etc.). ● Management: Experience in project management or team leadership.

8 million JPY – 12 million JPY (commensurate with experience and ability)

Working Hours 09:00 – 18:00
Holidays/Leave 5-day work week (Sat/Sun/Holidays), New Year's, Paid Leave (10+ days in the first year/granted from month of joining)
