We’re looking for a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to help keep our manufacturing utility systems running safely, reliably and efficiently. In this role, you’ll play an important part in improving asset performance, reducing downtime and supporting a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across our utility operations.

A day in the life

Role Responsibilities:

• You’ll make a visible impact by improving equipment reliability, safety and operational performance.

• You’ll partner with Utility, Maintenance Operations, Production and EHS teams to solve real business challenges.

• You’ll contribute to progressive maintenance, machinery safety and sustainability initiatives that support Haleon’s purpose.

• You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to understand equipment performance, investigate failures and turn insights into practical maintenance improvements.

• You’ll support shutdown planning, equipment inspections and project activities in the utility area, ensuring work is delivered safely, effectively and in line with quality expectations.

• You’ll also monitor key reliability indicators, review maintenance tasks following Root Cause Analysis recommendations and help ensure utility equipment and machinery safety controls remain fit for purpose through periodic review.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role.

Basic Qualifications

We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within utility areas such as HVAC, air compressors and boilers.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with:

• Technical knowledge of troubleshooting mechanical components such as bearings, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, conveyors and similar equipment.

• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Failure Analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.

• Experience with Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance practices.

• Familiarity with CMMS and spare parts systems.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Clear and effective communication skills with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Additional education or training in reliability, maintenance or asset management would be an advantage.
