Description
The role provides the successful candidate the opportunity to:
- interview with many of the world's leading legal practitioners and law firms
- analyse and assess qualitative and quantitative research data about some of the most significant legal matters occurring worldwide
- build expertise and forge connections within the international legal market
- identify and investigate new and emerging legal trends and areas of specialism
- build knowledge about the business of law, including how law firms and lawyers grow and develop their practices
- help evolve our research methodology to accurately reflect the global legal landscape, including using professional AI tools
- work for a dynamic international research team, with researchers in London, New York and Hong Kong
- travel domestically or internationally on research trips
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting research into international legal services markets through face-to-face and virtual interviews, by email and online
- Assessing research results to compile rankings of the top legal practitioners
- Presenting findings as succinct, engaging and accurate written copy
- Identifying trends and developments in the legal markets we cover
- Generating new research leads and content ideas for the reports
- Evolving our research methodology to produce as comprehensive and accurate reflections of the legal market as possible
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Research and writing experience
- Strong verbal communication and interviewing skills, and comfort speaking with high-level professionals
- Knowledge of and facility with common AI tools and systems, and a creative approach to AI generally
- Facility with data and databases (full training will be given on our systems)
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent command of written English
- Experience using MS Office suite
