Female Night Support Worker

Salary: £12.75 - £12.95 per hour, paid training included.

Location: Glenholme, Finchley, London, N12 8RP

Hours: Full-time opportunities available for up to 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Waking Night shifts (9pm - 7:30am)

At Glenholme Specialist Healthcare, our supported living service in Finchley provides high-quality, person-centred support for adults living with learning disabilities and mental health conditions.

As a Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of the people we support throughout the night. You will provide reassurance, promote independence, respond to individual needs, and maintain a calm and caring environment while supporting people to live fulfilling lives.

  • Salary increase to £12.85 per hour upon completion of our paid-for Care Certificate (industry-recognised qualification)
  • Salary increase to £12.95 per hour upon completion of a paid-for Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ qualification (industry-recognised qualification)

What You'll Do

With the right training and support, you will help promote independence, choice, inclusion, and dignity for the people we support. Every night you will make a meaningful difference and become much more than a Support Worker – you will become a trusted companion, advocate, and source of reassurance.

Duties of a Night Support Worker

  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting with personal care where required
  • Promoting and encouraging independent living skills
  • Administering and managing medication
  • Carrying out regular welfare checks and responding appropriately to individuals' needs during the night
  • Maintaining accurate care records and completing night documentation
  • Reporting concerns and escalating incidents appropriately
  • Promoting independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion
  • Supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals and outcomes
  • Helping maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable environment throughout the night
