The Associate Manager, Field Operation & Training will be accountable for the development, onboarding, training and support for the National Field Team of Retail Execution Managers. Through this role, the Associate Manager will help implement and sustain best practices and operational efficiencies, to reduce operational costs, grow sales, and deliver a best in class customer experience.
The Associate Manager, Field Operations & Training will be involved in:
- Working alongside and supporting the National Team of Retail Execution Managers, Field Operations Managers, Warehouse REMs and Best Practice Team with Store Operations, Logistics, Warehouse Management, eCommerce, and Operational Excellences
- Developing a world class Field Team to have confidence in the knowledge and tools that are shared to support the teams’ objectives, targets, progress, and success
- Building strong cross functional relationships with Dealers and other Corporate Teams, to help build and execute operational programs and efficiencies
- Influencing behaviours and change management across multiple levels of staff
- Hands on collaboration with the Field Team and Store Staff to implement programs and initiatives
- Consulting with the Best Practice Team on future operational initiatives and programs to continue to drive operational efficiencies across the network
What you'll do:
- Lead the development of training programs to enable the Field Team to drive superior execution of all operational programs
- Accountable for continuous development, onboarding and supporting new team members
- Accountable for identifying and providing the tools/knowledge required for the field team to successfully impact positive change
- Tracking KPIs and measuring against established benchmarks to measure program progress/sustainment
- Organize and deliver training sessions / clinics for Field OPS teams, to ensure the highest level of execution and accountability
- Determine best metrics to evaluate field programs, processes, and tools; determine and implement appropriate courses of action
- Work with Retail Execution Managers on action plan development and communication with Dealer’s, GM’s and store teams
- Accountable for providing regular updates and communication to all stakeholders for key milestones and targets for the Operations Field Team
- Establish strong relationships with the Field Operations Managers and other cross functional teams
- Support the Operations Field Team with communications and presentations for regional Dealer meetings and GM meetings
- Act as key contact and SME for the Best Practice Team
- Travel is required across Canada for this role
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years progressive Canadian Tire retail experience or equivalent (GM)
- Minimum 5 years experience in related field with preference for 3 years experience in organizational effectiveness/adult learning
- Undergraduate degree and preference for post graduate degree in any of the following areas: Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Adult Learning or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Strong knowledge in logistics, warehouse management, eCommerce, and general retail operations
- Advanced knowledge and experience in several of the following areas: workforce planning, change management, team effectiveness, project management and employee engagement
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies and initiatives that achieve financial performance and operational targets
- Strong influencing, consulting skills and collaboration skills required to build key relationships, promote new ideas and achieve buy-in
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Works well under pressure, change and ambiguity
- Proven ability to strive for continuous improvement through constantly challenging the status quo
- Fluent with MS Office products, PowerPoint, Copilot and other similar programs
- Skill set in content creation, creative assets or video editing considered a strong asset
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and personal vehicle required
Our typical hiring range is between $64,000.00 and $106,000.00 CAD Annual. The target salary range is between $70,000 and $80,000.00 CAD Annual. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
