Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

• This position will provide efficient and effective support to operational staff, equipment, and the organization and work proactively to address equipment concerns adhering to the requirements regarding the product, its operation or its completion. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to safety and quality.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform maintenance operations within a facility to achieve higher output
• Organizing training and educational manuals for the production team
• Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals
• Evaluating various stations of production operation to ensure optimum efficiency
• Maintaining communication with internal Supervision to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood
• Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources
• Orders and/or advises supervisor of department needs.
• Operates, cleans and maintains all equipment within the workstation
• Follows oral and/or written instructions
• Performs work safely and following safety procedures
• Assisting operations within a facility to achieve higher output.
• Organizing training and educational manuals for production
• Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within a facility
• Communicate downtime effectively and implement appropriate countermeasures to ensure equipment remains operational.
• Maintain compliance to customer and quality standards.
• Complete required paperwork and documents.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Must be familiar with, and follow, all standard operating procedures and guidelines.
• Knowledge of how and where to locate procedures and forms relevant to this position.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of equipment, manufacture and maintenance is highly beneficial. 
• IT skills, using data analysis software.            
• Maintenance Experience with the ability to perform extensive mechanical repairs and complete preventative maintenance procedures.
• LOTO compliance 
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good analysis skills, can evaluate data and information and structure and prioritize the tasks 
• Ability to use appropriate hand and/or power tools.
• Forklift Operator (must pass test) 
• Able to accurately read and use appropriate measuring tools.
• Able to manually lift up to 50lbs and/or utilize power lifting equipment to transport parts as required.
• Knowledge of Industrial spray paint operations (preferred)
• Able to read, understand, and apply paint formulas.
• Good eyesight and color sense.
• Strong literacy and comprehension skills.

Requirements

Education:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in preventative maintenance procedures
• Relevant training and certification in industrial production, engineering, or any related field
• Completion of company indoctrination.
• Successful completion of safety training programs.
• Understanding of the company’s Quality System and processes.
