Tendering & Estimating Engineer (MEP)

We are looking for a meticulous Tendering and Estimating Engineer to join a well establlished MEP team and play a pivotal role in securing high-value commercial projects. You will be instrumental in driving business growth by preparing competitive, accurate bids and managing the tendering process from initial enquiry to handover.

What You'll Be Doing

• Review and analyse tender documentation, architectural drawings, and MEP specifications to fully understand project scope and requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services, including labour, materials, equipment, and plant hire.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate competitive quotations from specialist subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with the design, commercial, and project management teams to identify value engineering opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Compile comprehensive, professional tender submissions and commercial proposals in strict adherence to deadlines and client requirements.
• Participate in pre-contract client meetings, post-tender negotiations, and handover briefings to ensure seamless project transition.

What We're Looking For

• A valid qualification as an Electrical Engineer
• Must possess basic knowledge of mechanical building services, with the ability to estimate large projects
• Minimum of 3 years experiencein MEP project-based management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD
• An organised individual, having good communication skills and being a team player
• Must hold a clean driving licence
