Retail Operations Intern

Borentis is hiring Retail Operations Interns to visit retail showrooms and test the Borentis app in real sales environments. You will have natural conversations with showroom salespeople using a provided SOP. These conversations will be recorded through the Borentis Android app and later reviewed for transcription accuracy.

Overview

• Duration: 2 months minimum
• Work type: Field-based internship
• Timings: Flexible daytime timings
• Location: Retail showrooms in the applicant's city
• Compensation: ₹50 per completed conversation with transcript audit. Expected to do a minimum of 20 to 30 visits per week.
• Equipment: Android smartphone is mandatory
• Certificate: Provided after successful completion of the engagement and required reporting

Roles and responsibilities

• Visit retail showrooms in your assigned city.
• Have natural conversations with salespeople using the provided SOP.
• Use the Borentis Android app to record eligible conversations.
• Complete the required number of showroom visits and valid conversations each week.
• Review generated transcripts against the original conversations.
• Identify and report transcription errors, missing words, incorrect language recognition, and inaccurate speaker interpretation.
• Maintain the shared tracking sheet with store visits, conversations, transcript audits, and observations.
• Submit daily reports covering completed visits, conversations, transcript checks, and product issues.
• Report app errors, recording issues, usability problems, and other field observations.
• Follow the provided SOP, privacy instructions, and field-testing guidelines.

Qualifications and requirements

• Android smartphone is mandatory.
• Comfortable visiting retail showrooms and speaking with salespeople.
• Strong verbal communication skills in at least one of these languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam.
• Ability to communicate in English for reports and issue descriptions.
• Comfortable maintaining spreadsheets and daily task records.
• Able to compare spoken conversations with written transcripts.
• Reliable internet access for uploading recordings and reports.
• Available for a minimum two-month engagement.
• Must be based in or near one of these locations: Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Indore, Kochi, Bhubaneswar.

Preferred experience

• Experience in field research, retail, sales, customer service, data collection, app testing, or transcription review.
