Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Operator / Lead Machine Operator (m/f/d) to join our dedicated production team on-site in Waghäusel.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for independently setting up, operating, maintaining, and monitoring our specialized production machinery for powder blends and capsule processing. You will play a crucial role in delivering top-tier health products directly to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Setup: Independently set up, adjust, tool-change (change-over), operate, and monitor industrial production machinery for powder processing/mixing and/or capsule manufacturing.
• Production Execution: Safely process high-quality powder blends and capsule products according to strict recipe and quality guidelines.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Promptly identify and resolve technical machine malfunctions; clean and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Quality & In-Process Controls: Conduct, verify, and document in-process quality checks throughout the production cycle.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, GMP/HACCP, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Documentation: Complete thorough and accurate production logs and compliance documentation in German.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical or food/nutritional supplement production. (Note: This role requires direct shop-floor machine operation experience. It is not suitable for career changers or purely academic/laboratory backgrounds.)
• Machinery Expertise: Solid, practical background operating either powder processing/mixing systems OR capsule manufacturing machinery.
• Technical Aptitude: Proven track record of independently setting up, running, and changing over production equipment, combined with strong mechanical understanding and precision.
• Language Skills: Fluent German (spoken and written, min. C1 level) for seamless communication, operating procedures, and production documentation.
• Standards Awareness: Working knowledge of hygiene regulations and documented manufacturing procedures.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience operating both powder processing machinery and automatic capsule filling machines.
• Formal vocational qualification as a Pharmakant, Fachkraft für Lebensmitteltechnik, or Maschinen- und Anlagenführer.
• Applied knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP protocols.
