Description
Legal Assistant [1026]
Law firm seeks a permanent Legal Assistant to provide administrative and operational support.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule internal conference calls and meetings using Zoom and other communication platforms.
- Maintain internal hard-copy and digital filing systems and ensure proper organization of records.
- Enter and log attorney time and prepare bills.
- Coordinate logistics for travel and submit expense reimbursements.
- Regularly prepare, edit, and file correspondence.
- Review and revise pertinent documents.
- Provide general administrative support through faxing, copying, scanning, and shipping documents through FedEx.
- Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Self-starter with a proven record of demonstrating initiative and executing tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Exemplary organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Positive, professional attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with staff.
- Previous experience using legal billing systems preferred.
- Strong software and computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an office-support role.
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000.
