EMEA Affiliate Marketing Specialist

Department: Demand Generation

Employment Type: Fixed Term - Full Time

Location: Portugal

Description

Location: Lisbon, Portugal (preferred)
Contract: 12-month rolling contract

Algomarketing delivers programmes and specialist talent for strategic marketing teams. We are a global team of marketing experts working across 30 countries in APAC, the Americas, Africa and Europe, with deep experience in enterprise B2B marketing, technology and SaaS.

We help marketing teams work more effectively through a data-led approach that enables deeper insights, faster execution and streamlined operations.

We are looking for an experienced Affiliate Marketing Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of an established EMEA affiliate programme for a leading international consumer-facing organisation.

You will be the main point of contact for affiliate partners, networks and platforms, managing relationships and commercial activity to deliver sales goals. The programme works with a focused group of partners across closed user groups, employee and member discount schemes, rewards programmes and cashback partners.

You will sit between strategy and execution: turning quarterly and annual plans into clear delivery activity, managing partner performance, identifying opportunities and ensuring the programme runs smoothly and compliantly across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for affiliate partners, networks and platforms.

  • Negotiate commission structures, placements and promotional opportunities that support commercial goals.

  • Build strong partner relationships through regular communication, performance reviews and joint planning.

  • Plan and coordinate direct marketing activity with partners, including site placements, takeovers and partner email campaigns.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external platform teams to ensure effective programme delivery.

  • Track revenue, conversions, cost per acquisition and other key performance metrics across partners and markets.

  • Forecast sales and audit performance data to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities.

  • Turn data into regular, actionable insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain reporting using Excel, spreadsheets and, where relevant, SQL-based tools.

  • Manage tracking links, partner placements and promotional codes through affiliate network platforms.

  • Oversee partner payouts, ensuring they are accurate and completed on time.

  • Monitor compliance with programme terms and brand guidelines, escalating fraud or policy concerns where needed.

  • Translate strategy into clear delivery plans, tracking milestones and raising risks early.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • 5+ years’ experience in affiliate or partner marketing, gained in an affiliate agency, network or in-house retail/e-commerce environment, ideally across EMEA markets.

  • Hands-on experience using affiliate networks and tracking platforms.

  • Strong commercial and analytical judgement, including sales forecasting and performance-data auditing.

  • Advanced Excel or spreadsheet skills; working knowledge of SQL is an advantage.

  • Proven programme-management experience, with the ability to turn strategic plans into clear, well-managed delivery.

  • Experience negotiating commissions, placements and promotional activity with affiliate partners.

  • Good knowledge of the affiliate ecosystem and wider commerce sector.

  • Understanding of affiliate compliance, payout processes and fraud monitoring.

  • Fluent English; additional EMEA languages are a plus.

  • Strong relationship-builder, comfortable managing and developing external partnerships.

  • Confident negotiator who can balance partner value with commercial outcomes.

  • Clear, proactive communicator and trusted partner to internal stakeholders.

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple partners and priorities simultaneously.

  • Detail-oriented, particularly across performance data, payments and compliance.
