Program Duration: Monday, June 14th – Friday, August 20th

What You'll Do

As an Intern at KEEN (KEENtern), you’ll dive into the exciting world of footwear, innovation, and community! You’ll get hands-on experience working alongside industry experts and contribute to shaping the future of KEEN.

As the Merchandising & Product Data Analytics Intern, you’ll partner with the Merchandising team and cross-functional stakeholders to turn product and business data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll help modernize reporting, improve visibility and automation, strengthen how teams use Centric PLM, and support testing and validation for the Centric-SAP upgrade. Your work will create lasting tools and process improvements that help the team operate more efficiently and get greater value from its systems and data.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support the revamp of Power BI reports and dashboards used by Merchandising, improving data visibility, usability, accuracy, and automation.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions, key performance indicators, and clear documentation.
  • Analyze product and merchandising data to identify trends, data-quality gaps, and opportunities to improve decision-making.
  • Review current Centric PLM workflows and data practices, recommend process improvements, and create user guides or job aids.
  • Assist with the Centric-SAP upgrade by developing test scenarios, executing user acceptance testing, validating data and system outputs, and documenting issues.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Product, IT/Data, and other cross-functional teams to reconcile information and promote consistent data definitions and processes.
  • Summarize findings, project progress, and recommendations for stakeholders through clear reports and presentations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or masters degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level. You will also be considered if you have recently graduated from an accredited college or university.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours/week during the internship program during normal working hours (Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and be available to work in the office 5 days/week.
  • Experience using Power BI or another business intelligence and data-visualization tool; experience building or improving dashboards is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including organizing, analyzing, and validating data; familiarity with Power Query is a plus.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to translate business questions into clear analysis and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Interest in merchandising, product lifecycle management, footwear, or retail; exposure to Centric PLM, SAP, or another PLM/ERP system is a plus.
