Key Responsibilities
- Building and improving front-end and back-end features across the platform.
- Strengthening the app’s structure, performance and usability.
- Developing goal tracking, reporting and insight-generation tools.
- Designing systems that scale across families, clinicians and care organisations.
- Translating clinical and psychological requirements into practical technical features.
- Ensuring development is privacy-conscious, compliant and safe from the ground up.
- Solid full-stack experience; front-end and back-end, web or mobile.
- Experience building and scaling digital products.
- Strong grasp of databases, APIs and secure data handling.
- Comfort making architectural decisions and owning them.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles.
- Understanding of GDPR and sensitive data handling.
Competencies
- Background in health tech or social care.
- Able to work independently with non-technical colleagues.
- Have built products where user safety and privacy were genuinely at stake.
- Can bridge clinical thinking and technical implementation.
- Think about data architecture in terms of what's appropriate, not just efficient.
- Have made decisions with limited info and revisit them without ego.
- Are energised by shaping a platform, not executing a pre-defined spec.
- Take safeguarding and ethical design seriously as part of how you build.
Educational Qualification
- A degree in computer science or software engineering is useful but not essential. We care more about what you've built and how you think.
- Self-taught developers and bootcamp graduates with a strong portfolio are equally welcome.
