Job Description
As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Patrol in Bloomfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activities while delivering strong customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access support activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts according to post instructions.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouse spaces, trailer yards, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access for personnel and/or deliveries, and report discrepancies, damaged property, or operational issues to the appropriate site representative.
- Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by observing movement of people, vehicles, and/or shipments, following post orders, and reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
