Job Description

For over 160 years, the University of Washington has been a hub for learning, innovation, problem solving and community building. Supporting this legacy and important public mission—with the goal of making the UW the world’s greatest public university, as measured by positive impact—guides everything we do in University Advancement. Bringing together development; alumni and stakeholder engagement; marketing and communications; and advancement operations, we advance the UW’s impact by developing meaningful connections that foster pride, advocacy and philanthropic support.

The Advancement Operations team empowers University Advancement to achieve and sustain its mission and vision. This starts with creating a culture of belonging within our organization that values the diverse experiences and expertise of our team members, allowing everyone to thrive and to contribute their unique talents as we strive to achieve our shared goals.

The Technology Learning Team (TLT) has an exciting opening for a Learning Experience Designer & Facilitator. This is a full-time, temporary position lasting for six (6) months.

The temporary Learning Experience Designer & Facilitator supports the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Insights – Journeys project by joining the Technology Learning Team to help design and deliver high-quality, instructor-led training for Advancement staff. The role partners with subject matter experts, project managers, and University Advancement leaders to develop and facilitate an instructor-led lab curriculum that enables learners to build practical, hands-on skills. This position balances curriculum development with live facilitation and may also contribute to creating supplemental online learning content.

What You Will Do

Program Development and Content Management (60%)

  • Design and develop live training programs, including hands-on activities, facilitator guides, and participant materials.

  • Deliver engaging training sessions that help learners apply new skills in real-world scenarios.

  • Partner with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with program goals.

  • Prepare for and lead training sessions, including planning, practice runs, and ensuring materials and logistics are ready.

  • Collaborate with TLT to plan training approaches, manage timelines, and review content.

Online Learning Development (30%)

  • Support the creation of online or self-paced training materials, such as eLearning courses, job aids, and videos.

  • Convert live training content into digital formats to create flexible, blended learning experiences.

  • Ensure consistency and alignment between live and online training materials.

Other duties as assigned (10%)
