Overview
As a Head Start Teacher, you'll maintain a safe, healthy learning environment both indoors and outdoors, plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities, assist children with self-care activities, maintain positive relationships with families, promote feelings of security and trust in children, provide experiences that develop curiosity and creativity, communicate effectively with parents and community resources, coordinate with teaching staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain child-staff ratios. The role requires completing training requirements, conducting daily health checks, following child guidance plans, and ensuring confidentiality of children, families, and coworkers.
