Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Manager Test Inspection 1 to support our Armament Systems business unit in Mesa, AZ.
Job Functions
Responsible for direct supervision of employees who test and/or inspect products to determine compliance with specifications. This is a working manager position; on the floor and hands on participation. Mid to high level DLY time charging.
Other activities include:
- Timecard review and approval
- Quarterly Connections
- Overtime coverage
- Provide resources, remove obstacles, give direction as needed
- Oversee the duties and tasks of the production and manufacturing inspectors
- Monitor and evaluate headcount, balance of workload, cross-training
- Input key communication items on the status board
- Attend required meetings via Teams or in-person
- Perform inspections and prepare quality documentation
- Work with DCMA and customers as per contract
- Monitor KPI and departmental goals
- GLX Training
- Weekly NC to MES annotation
- MES Factory status monitoring
- OTD
Basic Qualifications:
This position emphasizes skills first
- Must have 9 years of experience in quality assurance, testing, and/or manufacturing operations
Will consider:
- Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, testing, and/or manufacturing operations
- Master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, testing, and/or manufacturing operations
- Experience with interpreting drawings and with precision tools
- Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100
