Job Description:
At Regions, the Technology Business Manager supports the Divisional CIO in the development and execution of technology business strategies, operating priorities, governance processes, financial plans, portfolio management activities, and organizational initiatives. Leads a team responsible for business management functions across technology, including financial management, portfolio governance, executive reporting, risk coordination, workforce planning, vendor oversight, and leadership operating routines. Serves as a strategic partner to technology and business leaders to drive execution, performance transparency, regulatory readiness, and organizational effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partners with the Divisional CIO and leadership team to develop and execute technology strategies, operating priorities, and organizational objectives aligned with business goals
- Manages, coaches, and develops a team of professionals responsible for business management, governance, reporting, planning, and operational activities
- Leads annual planning activities, including budget development, headcount planning, investment planning, and financial forecasting
- Oversees technology portfolio governance processes, ensuring strategic initiatives, regulatory commitments, and business priorities are appropriately prioritized, monitored, and reported
- Monitors portfolio performance, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes, providing recommendations and escalation as needed
- Develops executive-level reporting, presentations, dashboards, and communications regarding financial performance, portfolio execution, workforce metrics, risk management, and strategic priorities
- Partners with Finance leaders to manage budget performance, productivity commitments, expense management objectives, and investment tracking
- Coordinates activities related to regulatory examinations, audits, remediation programs, and governance reviews while maintaining strong partnerships with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Audit teams
- Supports development and implementation of workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives
- Oversees execution of leadership operating routines, including business reviews, governance forums, planning sessions, leadership meetings, and performance reviews
- Facilitates communication and information flow across leadership teams, business partners, and key stakeholders to support alignment and execution
- Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), scorecards, and reporting frameworks to measure financial, operational, portfolio, talent, and risk performance
- Collaborates with business and technology leaders to ensure technology investments support business objectives, client outcomes, operational efficiency, and regulatory requirements
- Supports vendor governance activities, including contract oversight, performance monitoring, third-party risk coordination, and relationship management
- Leads special projects, transformation initiatives, process improvement efforts, and operational activities that support business and technology objectives
- Identifies opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness, governance processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency
- Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices across teams
- Represents the technology organization in governance forums, working groups, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or related field and twelve (12) years of relevant experience in technology, business management, strategy, operations, governance, risk management, or financial services
- Or High School Diploma/GED and sixteen (16) years of relevant experience in technology, business management, strategy, operations, governance, risk management, or financial services
- Five (5) years of experience leading teams and developing associates
- Experience supporting technology organizations, strategic initiatives, portfolio management activities, or business operations functions
- Experience developing executive communications, business reporting, and performance metrics
- Experience supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management activities
- Experience partnering with Risk, Compliance, Audit, Finance, HR, or other enterprise functions

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
