Position Summary
Samsung Research IL is seeking for a skilled and innovative Senior Engineer – DL & 3D CV, to lead the development of next-generation computer vision, deep learning, and generative AI features.This role focuses on state-of-the-art solutions for advanced 3D machine vision and camera innovation, including 3d reconstruction/sensing/mapping, novel camera/image processing/enhancement and simulations.
The engineer will join Samsung’s newly formed Camera Innovation R&D Team.

Role and Responsibilities
Prototype/research/develop advanced DL/3D CV/GenAI algorithms for various use-cases such as camera imaging, robotics and simulation
Manage the full lifecycle of DL projects, from research and prototyping to deployment, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
Optimize models for embedded and edge platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson) to meet real-time constraints
Guide the adoption of emerging technologies to elevate Samsung’s new solutions.
Stay at the forefront of developments in deep learning/computer vision/GenAI
Contribute to technology roadmaps and R&D investment decisions
Skills and Qualifications
MSc/PhD in Physics/EE - must
8+ years of experience in DL/3D CV, with a proven track record of developing solutions from research to production - must
Proven in-depth experience with at least one of the following:
* Diffusion-based GenAI
* Embodied AI
* DL-based CV/Image processing (e.g., segmentation, image restoration, monocular depth estimation)
* Vision-Language Models
* Physics Informed Neural-Networks (PINN)
Strong programming skills in Python, PyTorch, and OpenCV
Strong applied software engineering skills, with experience in agile methodologies and quality-driven development.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
Experience with rapid AI-first R&D
Advantage : experience with theoretical physical modeling/ simulation
Advantage: Experience with edge computing platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson) and real-time system optimization.
Advantage: Extensive hands-on experience in developing and deploying DL-based software applications for camera systems, image processing, or video analysis.
Advantage: Experience with simulators (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Unity) and real-world testing.
