Project Info
ACCIONA delivers a portfolio of metro and regional infrastructure projects across Victoria, spanning rail, road and civil works. These projects connect communities to essential services and support the state's growing transport network. The portfolio runs from design development through to construction completion, reflecting ACCIONA's commitment to safe, sustainable infrastructure delivery.
About Opportunity
As Project Director, you'll own end-to-end delivery of complex, high-value projects across ACCIONA's metro and regional portfolio in Victoria, reporting to the Regional Manager, Victoria. You'll set project strategy, govern interdependencies across workstreams, and manage significant budgets, contracts and vendor relationships. The role covers executive and Board-level stakeholder engagement, and you'll guide multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed teams to deliver on scope, schedule, budget and quality.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Set project strategy and translate goals into delivery plans
- Own budgets, forecasts and financial performance
- Manage contracts, procurement and vendor relationships
- Govern risk, benefits realisation and project interdependencies
- Present to Boards, Executive Committees and Steering Groups
- Drive organisational change and technology adoption
- Build and guide cross-functional, dispersed project teams
Required Skills and Competencies
- Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction or related
- Postgraduate qualification (MBA or Master's) desirable
- Extensive experience in project, program or portfolio management
- Track record delivering multi-million-dollar initiatives
- Experience managing executive and Board-level stakeholders
