Job Title: Power Supply System Engineer – Rail Metro Projects

This role requires to support the engineering, design, installation, testing, and commissioning of Traction Power Supply and Auxiliary Power Systems for Rail Metro Projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, budget targets, and project schedules.
What will you do?
Power Supply System Engineering
- Support the design, review, and implementation of Traction Power Supply Systems (TPSS), Receiving Substations (RSS), Traction Substations (TSS), Auxiliary Substations (ASS), and MV/LV distribution systems.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
Project Execution Support
- Provide technical support during procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor site execution and ensure compliance with approved designs and project requirements.
- Resolve engineering issues and technical queries in a timely manner.
Interface Coordination
- Coordinate with OCS, Civil, Signaling, Telecommunications, SCADA, Rolling Stock, and System Integration teams.
- Ensure proper management of system interfaces and technical dependencies.
Testing & Commissioning
- Support testing, energization, and commissioning power supply systems.
- Verify system performance, reliability, and operational readiness.
- Prepare and review testing and commissioning documentation.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, railway standards, quality procedures, and HSE requirements.
- Participate in inspections, audits, and safety reviews.
- Promote safe working practices during installation and energization activities.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare engineering reports, technical submittals, and progress updates.
- Maintain design records, drawings, test reports, and technical documentation.
Experience, Education and other Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Overall 15-18 years of design experience in electrical infra projects with minimum 7 years of relevant Power Supply design experience in Metro Rail, Railway Electrification, Traction Power Supply.
- Experience in design, installation, testing, and commissioning of TPSS and electrical distribution systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Traction Power Supply Systems (TPSS), RSS, TSS & Auxiliary Substations, MV/LV Electrical Distribution Systems, Protection & Control Systems, SCADA Integration, Earthing & Bonding Systems, Testing & Commissioning, Rail System Interfaces.
- Preferred Industry Experience: Metro Rail, Railway Electrification, Urban Transit, High-Speed Rail, Traction Power, and Transportation Infrastructure Projects.
