About TouchBistro
TouchBistro is an all-in-one restaurant management platform built to help restaurant operators run stronger, more successful businesses. Our solutions span point of sale, payments, front-of-house and back-of-house operations, and guest engagement. As part of Harris Computer, TouchBistro combines the focus and agility of a restaurant technology company with the long-term orientation of a leading vertical market software organization.
The Opportunity
TouchBistro is seeking an experienced Vice President, Sales & Marketing to lead an integrated go-to-market organization across North America. Reporting to the EVP, this executive will translate company strategy into a focused commercial plan, build a predictable and efficient revenue engine, sharpen our market position, and develop high-performing Sales and Marketing teams.
This is a hands-on executive role for a leader who can connect market insight, product value, demand generation, sales execution, pricing, brand, content, web, analytics, and marketing operations. The successful candidate will bring clarity to how TouchBistro targets the right customers, communicates differentiated value, creates and converts demand, and measures performance from first touch through booked and live recurring revenue.
What Success Looks Like
- A clear, company-wide commercial strategy that defines priority markets, ideal customer profiles, channel choices, value propositions, and measurable growth outcomes.
- A predictable funnel with disciplined forecasting, strong pipeline hygiene, clear stage definitions, and transparent conversion performance from lead through booking and activation handoff.
- Improved sales and marketing efficiency, with investment decisions grounded in customer quality, unit economics, expected lifetime value, payback, and live recurring revenue.
- Stronger product positioning, pricing discipline, launch execution, competitive intelligence, and sales enablement across the TouchBistro portfolio.
- One integrated Sales and Marketing operating rhythm, with shared priorities, clear accountability, fast learning cycles, and a culture of coaching and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Growth Strategy & Leadership
- Own the overall Sales and Marketing strategy and operating plan, aligned to TouchBistro’s business priorities, financial objectives, product roadmap, and customer strategy.
- Translate growth objectives into market, segment, channel, capacity, investment, and talent plans with clear assumptions and measurable outcomes.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Sales and Marketing leadership team; establish clear decision rights, performance expectations, succession plans, and career paths.
- Create an integrated operating cadence across Sales and Marketing, including weekly execution reviews, monthly funnel and forecast reviews, and quarterly business planning.
- Act as a key member of the executive leadership team, bringing a market- and customer-informed perspective to company strategy, resource allocation, and portfolio decisions.
Sales Strategy, Pipeline & Execution
- Own delivery of new-business revenue targets and the commercial performance of inbound, outbound, and business development motions.
- Build a disciplined, repeatable sales process covering lead response, qualification, discovery, demonstration, solution fit, proposal, negotiation, contracting, and close.
- Establish consistent definitions and controls for pipeline creation, stage progression, conversion, forecast categories, sales-cycle velocity, win/loss analysis, and CRM hygiene.
- Align account coverage, territories, quotas, capacity, and compensation with priority customer segments and expected demand.
- Develop high-performing sales leaders and teams through structured onboarding, coaching, call review, playbooks, feedback, and clear career paths.
- Partner with Customer Success and Operations to ensure honest expectations, clean handoffs, customer readiness, and stronger conversion from sold to live.
- Provide executive sponsorship for strategic prospects, customers, RFPs, and complex commercial negotiations when appropriate.
Demand Generation & Revenue Marketing
- Set the inbound and outbound demand generation strategy across paid search, SEO, lifecycle nurture, paid social, website, events, webinars, account-based programs, and other relevant channels.
- Allocate budgets across markets, audiences, and channels based on pipeline contribution, customer quality, conversion, ACV, payback, and return on investment.
- Build an experimentation roadmap to improve audience targeting, offer design, channel mix, lead quality, conversion, and speed to learning.
- Create tight alignment between Marketing and Sales on campaign priorities, service-level expectations, lead routing, follow-up, qualification, and feedback loops.
- Balance short-term pipeline creation with long-term category credibility, brand strength, customer advocacy, and organic demand.
Product Marketing, Pricing & Go-to-Market
- Own the commercial articulation of TouchBistro’s value proposition, product positioning, messaging architecture, proof points, and differentiation by customer segment and use case.
- Lead go-to-market planning and execution for new products, bundles, features, releases, and market entries in partnership with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Operations.
- Build a disciplined pricing and packaging capability informed by customer value, competitive dynamics, willingness to pay, margin, attach potential, and long-term unit economics.
- Institutionalize market and competitive intelligence and translate insights into positioning, enablement, pricing, roadmap input, and commercial action.
- Ensure Sales has the tools, training, battlecards, pricing guidance, customer stories, presentations, and collateral required to sell value consistently.
Brand, Content, Community & Communications
- Define and protect TouchBistro’s brand strategy, voice, narrative, and standards across digital and traditional customer touchpoints.
- Oversee an integrated content strategy spanning thought leadership, SEO and answer-engine visibility, product content, customer stories, newsletters, nurture, social media, events, podcasts, webinars, and sales collateral.
- Ensure content is grounded in restaurant operator needs, product value, customer evidence, industry trends, and clear business objectives across the funnel.
- Strengthen community engagement, customer advocacy, employee advocacy, and social listening while ensuring timely, consistent brand interaction.
- Use research and original insights to build credibility in restaurant technology and create reusable demand, PR, sales, partner, and customer assets.
Digital Experience & Web
- Treat the website and digital ecosystem as core commercial products that support discovery, education, conversion, and customer trust.
- Own the web roadmap, conversion strategy, user journeys, landing-page effectiveness, accessibility, SEO foundations, performance, scalability, and content-management governance.
- Use analytics, behavioral data, experimentation, and A/B testing to continuously improve digital conversion and campaign performance.
- Ensure web development, design, content, product marketing, demand generation, and marketing operations work from shared priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Oversee external agencies and vendors where needed, with clear scope, accountability, quality standards, and return expectations.
Marketing Operations, Data & Technology
- Own marketing processes, automation, campaign operations, lead management, attribution, data quality, consent and governance, and the effectiveness of the marketing technology stack.
- Ensure reliable integration between marketing platforms and CRM, with clear lifecycle definitions, routing, scoring, source tracking, and closed-loop reporting.
- Develop dashboards that connect activity and spend to pipeline, booked ACV, live ACV, customer quality, payback, and retention-relevant indicators.
- Create a trusted performance narrative by combining data with actionable insight, identifying root causes, and recommending clear management actions.
- Simplify tools and workflows, automate repetitive work, and use AI responsibly to improve targeting, content operations, seller productivity, analysis, and speed of execution.
Cross-Functional Commercial Alignment
- Partner closely with Product to bring customer and competitive insight into roadmap choices, business cases, packaging, launches, and lifecycle decisions.
- Partner with Finance on targets, budgets, forecast assumptions, unit economics, deal quality, pricing governance, and investment trade-offs.
- Partner with Customer Success and Operations to improve sales-to-activation handoffs, surface expectation gaps, support retention, and create customer expansion and advocacy opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with strategic customers and ecosystem partners and represent TouchBistro at relevant industry events and executive forums.
- Promote direct communication, clear ownership, and shared metrics across the full customer journey.
