Job Title: Feed Warehouse Operator

Department: Feed Operations

Reports to: Technical Services & Feed Operations Supervisor

Exempt Status: Non-Exempt  

Shift: 40 Hours/week (may include some evenings and weekends)       

Job Summary

This position aids all facilities within Riverence Provisions LLC, working as a team member to ensure both internal and external customer needs are met. Riverence Provisions LLC is fully vertically integrated controlling all aspects of its food business from inception to market.

Essential Functions

• Perform general warehouse duties including and not limited to: truck loading, staging of product, inventory, receiving, and housekeeping.
• Ability to interface with operational software.
• Warehouse inventory staging, counting, and organization.
• Rotation of shift may include some Saturday and holiday work
• Preparation of dry, fresh, or frozen product for shipment
• Assure proper rotation of product FIFO (first in first out).
• Lift truck operation within all Riverence Provisions LLC and Riverence Farms LLC loca-tions.
• Knowledge of Invoice and Bill of Lading procedure.
• Understand loading procedure according to mapped load sheets supplied by Distribution Department.
• Be aware of safety concerns within all facilities and notify supervisor when necessary.
• Be aware of maintenance concerns within all facilities (out of the ordinary freezer/dock storage temperatures, fans, water leakage, etc.) and notify maintenance department when necessary.
• Pick-up and delivery of product from assigned locations for company needs.
• Ability to perform specified tasks from elevated locations.
• Understand and utilize Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedure.
• Communicate and work as a team member.
• Participate in some discussion about confidential/sensitive matters.
• Communicate with employees and others through written, oral and face-to-face interac-tions.
• Assist other team members in completion of work.
• Communicate with fellow employees to complete tasks and adhere to safety standards.
• Ability to work flexible work schedules with varying hours as required.
• Miscellaneous Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• CDL A or B required for Bulk feed delivery to Farm locations
• Record keeping, organizational skills
• Ability to operate standard transmission or learn
• Ability to operate lift truck
• Leadership potential
• Exemplary Attendance
• Ability to follow driving direction accurately
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
• Vast knowledge of fresh, frozen and feed product line, packaging requirements
• Ability to understand delivery requests and fulfill those requests
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form.
• Ability to communicate in order to adhere to safety standards
• Must show a positive attitude and work well with others

Typical Physical Activity

This job involves medium work exerting force occasionally, frequently and constantly to move objects. The worker will be required to have a range of motion as follows:

• Often requires walking, moving or climbing to accomplish tasks.
• Often requires standing for sustained periods of time.
• Occasionally requires stooping and reaching.
• Occasionally requires pushing using upper extremities to press against something with steady force.
• Occasionally requires pulling using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
• Lifting is required on a regular basis.
• Ability to use pallet jacks is required.
• Often requires feeling of products perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of finger-tips.
• Repetitive Motions are required which involve substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Typical Environmental Conditions

The worker is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions. Worker will be exposed to inclement temperatures. The worker is subject to noise. The worker can be subject to cold and wet conditions.
