About the Host & Role Overview
Our host is an Australian manufacturer and installer of safety barriers, guardrails, bollards and handrails. Its products are used in car parks, warehouses, factories and public spaces. This internship offers an architecture student or graduate the opportunity to learn how protective systems are planned, documented and integrated into built environments alongside experienced design and engineering professionals.
Key Learning Responsibilities
- Assist with site plans, layout drawings and design documentation for barriers, bollards, handrails and pedestrian protection systems.
- Review architectural plans to identify vehicle movement, pedestrian routes and areas requiring protection.
- Help prepare drawings that show how protective systems fit around building entrances, car parks, loading areas and existing structures.
- Support the selection of suitable products and finishes for project requirements, under supervision.
- Coordinate drawing updates with the design, engineering and installation teams.
- Attend project discussions or site visits where available to understand client needs and installation constraints.
- Maintain accurate drawings, specifications and project records.
