Description
The Core Java/Backend Developer will enhance the backend systems that support multiple client platforms, including web, Android, and iOS. The role focuses on translating user stories into reliable backend functionality, building maintainable services that integrate via REST APIs, and improving performance, quality, and automation to ensure smooth end-to-end application behavior across systems.Roles & Responsibilities
- Translate user stories into functional applications
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Work in a system that interacts with other systems through REST APIs
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
- Conduct unit testing on written code to ensure program performance matches design at the unit level
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/college degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Science & Technology, or equivalent
- Experience with Agile/Scrum process, language, and ceremonies
- 3+ years of experience using Java and Spring/SpringBoot
- 3+ years of experience using relational databases (e.g., Oracle)
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery tools
- Solid understanding of API, microservice, and integration concepts and technologies (e.g., REST, JSON, XML, message queues)
- Excellent analytical, technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated history of continuously improving knowledge, skills, and processes for the organization
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and respond in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in backend, web, and mobile application development
- Knowledge of AWS, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, or other public cloud platforms
- Experience with cloud native infrastructure, DevSecOps, and microservice architecture
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and tools
