Job Description:

This is a Castrol requisition and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence ahead of the Castrol divestment later in 2026. From the point of the divestment, you will be employed fully by Castrol and no longer be a bp employee.

Role Synopsis

The Reward Delivery Advisor – ASPAC & China will provide reward expertise for the development and delivery of solutions in support of the new Castrol organisation. This role will be the key reward contact for ASPAC and China, supporting country-specific needs while contributing to global Castrol reward projects.

The role holder will collaborate across the People & Culture function to deliver key initiatives underpinning successful execution of the business strategy. The role requires flexibility to work across single or multiple concurrent projects/initiatives that may vary in complexity, business impact, geographical spread and duration.

Role Purpose

Support VP P&Cs and regional/country P&C teams in delivering agreed ASPAC and China P&C priorities, translating priorities into tangible actions and project deliverables to enable successful delivery of the people plan.

Collaborate across the People & Culture function to deliver key initiatives underpinning successful execution of the business strategy.

Work flexibly across single or multiple concurrent projects/initiatives that may vary in complexity, business impact, geographical spread and duration.

Role Accountabilities

  • Provide specialist advice in the design and delivery of reward solutions that may apply locally, regionally or globally across businesses, regions and countries. Lead where required.

  • Deliver allocated tasks as a member of project teams or ad hoc activity squads on an accurate and timely basis.

  • Engage key business and P&C partners across ASPAC and China to understand reward solution needs and requirements.

  • Gather and analyse internal and external data to inform reward recommendations and delivery plans.

  • Ensure solutions are developed in accordance with Castrol group reward and wellbeing processes and policies, with appropriate consideration of local market and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain awareness of standard methodology and external market developments across ASPAC, China and global reward practices.

  • Continually develop advising, project management and people management skills.

  • Align with partnering and specialist colleagues to plan and implement prioritised strategic people and culture initiatives.

  • Work as part of a team to translate priorities into tangible actions and project deliverables.

  • Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary squad, often collaborating across geographies and time zones to ensure effective delivery.

  • Maintain business knowledge to ensure deliverables are contextualised to the needs of different parts of the client organisation as needed.

  • Leverage and interpret data and insights relevant to the delivery of prioritised initiatives.

  • Partner with business leaders as needed to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Where based in a country with 24/7 operating businesses, willingness and ability to support Crisis & Continuity Management (C&CM) and/or IMT activities as needed.

Formal Education Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience and/or professionally qualified. Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or a connected subject area would be advantageous.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements

  • At least 5–7 years’ total rewards experience, ideally with experience supporting multiple markets across ASPAC and/or China.

Technical

  • Demonstrable background in total rewards, including the delivery of related solutions in a client-facing environment.

  • Solid knowledge of the regulatory, legal and social requirements for reward and performance management across relevant markets.

  • Proficient in English

  • Mandarin language proficiency would be an added advantage.
