Responsibilities

  • Perform basic patient workups, including medical history, vision assessment, and intraocular pressure checks
     
  • Accurately scribe for physicians and maintain documentation in EMR systems
     
  • Conduct diagnostic testing such as OCT, visual fields, lensometry, and angiography
     
  • Assist with retina-specific procedures, including intravitreal injections, lasers, and minor in-office procedures
     
  • Support physicians and clinical staff in ensuring smooth patient flow and excellent service

Requirements


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required  
  • Strong computer and EMR skills  
  • Previous experience in ophthalmology or a related healthcare field preferred, but not required  
  • COA or COT certification preferred; candidates with less experience will be considered if otherwise qualified  
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care
