As a Security Officer Dayshift Full Time Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence-adjacent spaces, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and support access-control procedures for university facilities, verifying authorized entry and documenting visitor or contractor activity when assigned.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports for incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
