Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Security Officer, you will maintain the highest level of safety and security by patrolling assigned areas, diligently deterring, detecting, and investigating suspicious activity or crime.Every day you will effectively monitor electronic surveillance equipment and hospital emergency systems, dispatch appropriate personnel via radio, and actively patrol to protect individuals and property, all while embodying our core values and supporting strategic quality improvement.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional vigilance, strong observational skills, proficiency in electronic surveillance and dispatch systems, and a commitment to protecting our community while upholding our organizational values and contributing to a secure environment.- Patrol on foot and by vehicle the facility and grounds.
- Patrol on foot and by vehicle all perimeter buildings and posts.
- Regulate parking by employees and visitors.
- Give directions and assist with minor vehicle problems.
- Provide escorts for employees.
- Provide security coverage in the Emergency Department.
Job Requirements
Required- High School GED or three (3) years’ experience as a security officer, upon hire or
- High School Graduate or three (3) years’ experience as a security officer, upon hire and
- Six (6) months experience as security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, prior law enforcement or military service; or
- one (1) year experience as a security officer.
- Driver's License: KY, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
