Description

Senior Product Manager – Document Intelligence Platform

100% Remote – United States | Central or Eastern Time Zones Only | Contract 4–6 Months | Potential Full-Time Conversion

MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager – Document Intelligence Platform for a leading U.S. software organization operating in a professional, compliance-driven environment.

This is a highly strategic product role focused on customer-facing B2B SaaS, intelligent document processing, workflow automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and 0-to-1 product development.

The initial engagement is expected to last approximately 4 to 6 months, with the possibility of conversion to a full-time position.

Candidates must be based in the Central or Eastern U.S. time zones.

The Opportunity

The selected Product Manager will own the strategy, roadmap, execution, and evolution of customer-facing software products involving professional workflows, document ingestion, data extraction, automation, and cloud-based capabilities.

This role requires someone who can combine strong customer orientation with fast product judgment, structured prioritization, and operational excellence.

You will be expected to lead initiatives from discovery and ideation through MVP, launch, measurement, and continuous improvement while balancing innovation, reliability, compliance, and fixed delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for customer-facing SaaS capabilities.
  • Identify new product opportunities using customer discovery, behavioral data, market insights, support feedback, and commercial input.
  • Lead initiatives from ideation through validation, MVP, launch, early scaling, measurement, and iteration.
  • Own document-oriented workflows including ingestion, classification, extraction, validation, secure sharing, and downstream integration.
  • Explore and implement opportunities involving AI, machine learning, OCR, LLM-enabled workflows, and intelligent automation.
  • Translate customer problems into clear product requirements and measurable outcomes.
  • Make product trade-offs under constrained engineering capacity, competing priorities, and fixed deadlines.
  • Partner closely with Engineering on architecture, reliability, performance, security, and technical priorities.
  • Collaborate with Design, Data, AI/ML, Security, Operations, Sales, Support, and executive stakeholders.
  • Improve customer workflows involving document collection, processing, review, collaboration, and secure information exchange.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate product opportunities and measure post-launch impact.
  • Ensure reliable product performance in mission-critical and deadline-sensitive environments.
  • Communicate priorities, trade-offs, decisions, risks, and results clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Product Management experience in software, with approximately 7+ years preferred for this opportunity.
  • Demonstrated ownership of commercial, customer-facing B2B SaaS products.
  • Experience building or scaling cloud-based or SaaS products.
  • Proven end-to-end product ownership covering:

    • Problem definition
    • Customer discovery
    • Product vision
    • Roadmap development
    • Prioritization
    • Requirements
    • Launch
    • Measurement
    • Post-launch iteration
  • Hands-on product experience involving document workflows, client portals, document management, secure sharing, document collection, workflow automation, or similar customer-facing capabilities.
  • Practical experience with document ingestion and extraction technologies, ideally including OCR, classification, AI/ML, or LLM-based processing.
  • Ability to explain approaches to confidence thresholds, validation, human-in-the-loop review, exception handling, accuracy, and quality management.
  • Strong understanding of security, sensitive data, auditability, and compliance considerations.
  • Proven 0-to-1 or MVP experience taking significant product capabilities from concept through launch.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize using structured decision frameworks.
  • Experience managing complex release cycles and fixed delivery deadlines.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong execution discipline and ability to operate effectively with limited direction.

AI and Document Processing Experience

Strong candidates should be able to demonstrate meaningful product ownership involving several of the following:

  • Intelligent Document Processing
  • Document ingestion
  • Document classification
  • OCR
  • Structured data extraction
  • AI/ML-based extraction

  • Exception management
  • Validation workflows
  • Accuracy measurement
  • Secure document collection
  • Client portals
  • Workflow automation
  • Downstream system integration

The successful candidate does not need to be an AI engineer, but must have enough practical AI fluency to make informed product decisions and work effectively with technical teams.

Product Ownership Expectations

This role requires genuine ownership rather than project coordination alone.

Candidates should be able to clearly explain what they personally decided, prioritized, launched, and measured.

Strong examples should demonstrate:

  • Customer problems personally identified and validated
  • Product decisions based on evidence
  • Features deliberately deferred or declined
  • Trade-offs made under time or engineering constraints
  • Definition of MVP scope
  • Launch and post-launch measurement
  • Quantifiable customer or business outcomes
  • Clear individual accountability for product direction

Preferred Background

Experience in one or more of the following environments will be especially relevant:

  • Customer and market research synthesis
  • Requirements development
  • Prototyping
  • Product analysis
  • Testing
  • Launch preparation
  • Product communications
  • Monitoring and post-launch analysis

The focus is on practical application and product judgment rather than simply familiarity with AI terminology.

What Success Looks Like

Strong candidates should be able to demonstrate measurable outcomes such as:

  • Increased product adoption
  • Reduced document processing time
  • Improved extraction accuracy
  • Reduced manual review
  • Higher workflow completion rates
  • Reduced support volume
  • Improved customer retention
  • Increased conversion
  • Increased revenue
  • Improved operational efficiency
  • Faster release cycles
  • Better customer experience metrics

Contract Details

  • Contract duration: approximately 4–6 months
  • Potential conversion to a full-time position
  • 100% remote
  • Candidates must be based in the Central or Eastern U.S. time zones
  • Compensation is based on an hourly rate and candidate experience
  • Relocation is not required

Work Authorization

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, now or in the future.

How to Apply

Please submit your application through this same platform with an updated resume and relevant professional information.

Candidates should be prepared to provide:

  • LinkedIn profile
  • Current location and time zone
  • Desired hourly rate in USD
  • Work authorization status
  • Examples of customer-facing B2B SaaS product ownership
  • Examples of document ingestion, extraction, OCR, AI/ML, or workflow automation initiatives
  • Measurable outcomes from products or capabilities personally launched
  • Examples of 0-to-1 or MVP product development

If you are a hands-on Product Manager with strong customer-facing SaaS experience, practical AI fluency, and direct exposure to document intelligence or workflow automation, we would like to hear from you.
