ABAP Developer with experience in the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with hands-on experience in SAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model) to support the development of custom applications within an SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud environment.

Project Description:

The project focuses on developing and enhancing custom SAP Fiori applications within an SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud landscape, following SAP Clean Core principles.

Current developments include several custom Fiori applications supporting the generation and management of material document labels. The solutions are built using modern SAP technologies, including SAP RAP, ABAP, CDS Views, OData Services, SAP Fiori Elements and SAPUI5.

The overall objective is to modernize user interactions and business processes by adopting SAP's latest development paradigms, with a strong focus on RAP-based applications and Fiori user experiences.

Further developments are expected as business requirements evolve, including additional Fiori applications and custom business process extensions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and enhance SAP RAP applications in an SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud environment.
• Develop robust and maintainable ABAP backend solutions following SAP development best practices.
• Design and implement RAP Business Objects, including behavior definitions, behavior implementations, service definitions and service bindings.
• Design, develop and optimize CDS Views for data modeling, consumption and service exposure.
• Develop and extend OData services within the RAP architecture.
• Develop SAP Fiori Elements applications based on business requirements.
• Configure and optimize annotations and metadata to provide an intuitive Fiori user experience.
• Extend or customize SAPUI5 applications where standard Fiori Elements functionality does not meet business requirements.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with SAP Clean Core principles.
• Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimize existing RAP/ABAP and Fiori applications.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Hands-on experience with SAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model).
• Good knowledge of ABAP OO and modern ABAP development practices.
• Solid experience with CDS Views and data modeling.
• Experience with OData services and service exposure.
• Practical experience with SAP Fiori Elements.
• Working knowledge of SAPUI5 and the ability to extend/customize Fiori applications when required.
• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA and modern SAP development approaches.
• Good understanding of SAP Clean Core principles.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of development tasks.
• Good English communication skills.
