Job Description:

The Information Governance Risk & Compliance Attorney performs the review and transfer of client data related to attorney departures from the Firm. This role is responsible for leveraging eDiscovery and data management tools to ensure client privileges are protected and firm proprietary data remains within the Firm. This professional relies on extensive data management experience to facilitate efficient attorney transitions while helping to protect existing relationships between the Firm and departing attorneys.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

• Contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of strategic workflows to review attorney communications and work product 

• Assist with drafting client transfer protocols and communications

• Maintain thorough documentation of the review of client data and transfer process 

• Participate in the research of emerging technologies and identify enhanced tools to execute the review process

• Prepare data in Relativity for review, including running search terms and setting up reviews

• Automate review processes where appropriate using advanced technologies

• Ensure quality and consistency

• Manage departing attorney expectations regarding transfer timelines

Job Specifications: 

• Juris Doctor degree

• At least five (5) years of related work experience

• Advanced knowledge of eDiscovery and data management tools and best practices

• Extensive experience utilizing Relativity as an end user to review and code documents

• Direct experience applying artificial intelligence and analytics tools to manage, evaluate, and review data

• Ideally, direct experience utilizing Relativity as an administrator

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong project management skills

• Ability to recognize and protect client privileges, firm proprietary information, intellectual property, and other sensitive data

• Prior professional experience ensuring all confidential information is appropriately protected

• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize numerous projects and responsibilities

     Target Hiring Range $115,000 - $161,000

Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
