What you'll do
As a member of the Domestic Transportation Operations team, you will lead a dynamic, fast-paced team supporting Canadian Tire Corporation's transportation network across Canada. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone passionate about operational excellence, technology, process improvement, and developing people.
The Team Lead will provide leadership and direction across four key functions: Inbound Rail Operations, Vendor Services, Business Analysis, and P44 Movement Superuser Support. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, carriers, rail service providers, and technology partners to ensure efficient operations, strong service, and continuous improvement across the transportation network.
This role will also help advance operational transformation through reporting, analytics, visibility technology, automation, and AI initiatives.
Lead and develop a team responsible for Inbound Rail Operations, Vendor Services, Business Analysis, and P44 Movement Superuser support by providing coaching, performance management, mentorship, and clear direction.
Oversee day-to-day transportation operations and support the efficient movement of inbound freight while maintaining strong service for stores, vendors, carriers, distribution centres, and internal business partners.
Act as the business lead for transportation visibility solutions, including P44 Movement, by driving platform adoption, user support, data quality, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with rail providers, carriers, vendors, operational teams, and technology partners to resolve issues, improve service, and strengthen network performance.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives that simplify, standardize, automate, and optimize transportation and vendor service processes.
Drive AI and automation initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve decision-making, increase visibility, and enhance operational efficiency.
Provide leadership for business analysis activities, including process mapping, requirements gathering, testing, implementation, training, and change management for transportation initiatives.
Develop and improve operational reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decisions.
Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives by coordinating stakeholders and resources to deliver business objectives.
Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning while supporting the growth and development of team members.
Support operational requirements as needed to maintain business continuity and service excellence in a dynamic transportation environment.
What you bring
Proven leadership experience with a passion for coaching, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
Strong knowledge of supply chain, transportation, logistics, rail operations, or vendor management.
Experience supporting transportation visibility platforms, transportation management systems, or operational technology solutions.
Demonstrated success leading process improvement, operational excellence, or transformation initiatives.
Experience with business analysis, project delivery, process documentation, requirements gathering, testing, and implementation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Experience developing operational reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and performance measures.
Interest or experience in using AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve operational outcomes.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
Experience with P44 Movement, transportation management systems, Power BI, automation tools, or AI solutions is considered an asset.

Broadband Salary range: $64,000.00 and $106,000.00 CAD Annual.
Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $85,000 CAD Annual. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
