Description
Harney District Hospital is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cardiopulmonary Manager to lead our Cardiopulmonary Department while continuing to provide hands-on respiratory care to patients across the lifespan.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Respiratory Care Practitioner who enjoys both clinical practice and department leadership. The Cardiopulmonary Manager oversees daily department operations, staffing, quality improvement, budgeting, policies, and staff development while also providing respiratory and cardiopulmonary services to infants, children, and adults.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner license, or ability to obtain Oregon licensure by the time of appointment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Documentation of highest academic achievement, as required by applicable clinical laboratory regulations.
Preferred:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.

We are looking for a leader who is clinically strong, organized, approachable, and committed to excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing hands-on respiratory care with the responsibilities of managing a department and supporting a small team.
Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, organization, and customer service skills are essential.
Schedule & Work Environment
This position will work Monday - Thursday covering call on the days that you work.
The position involves working in a hospital environment with exposure to infectious diseases, body fluids, medical specimens, hazardous agents, and other clinical hazards. The role also requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, carry, push, pull, and perform other physical activities associated with respiratory care.
