Role Summary
The Quality Assurance Team Leader is responsible for supporting quality assurance operations across assigned clients, programs, and service lines. This role serves as a subject matter expert and quality lead for a designated portfolio, ensuring audit accuracy, calibration consistency, reporting integrity, compliance with client requirements, and adherence to organizational quality standards.
The Team Leader partners closely with Quality Management, Operations, Training, and client stakeholders to identify quality trends, mitigate risks, improve audit consistency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. While this role does not have direct reports, it provides day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and quality leadership to Quality Auditors supporting assigned clients and programs.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary quality lead for an assigned portfolio of clients, providing oversight and support to Quality Auditors aligned to those programs.
• Conduct audit validations and "audit-the-auditor" reviews to ensure audit accuracy, scoring consistency, and adherence to established quality methodologies.
• Review audit results, quality trends, performance data, and key metrics to identify risks, recurring errors, compliance concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead and facilitate calibration sessions with Quality Auditors, Operations, Training, and client stakeholders to ensure scoring consistency and alignment.
• Oversee quality reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and performance analyses for assigned clients, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and actionable insights.
• Partner with Quality Management and Operations leaders to develop remediation plans and targeted action plans addressing identified quality gaps and performance risks.
• Identify training needs and knowledge gaps through audit findings and performance trends, collaborating with Training teams to support development initiatives.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and quality-related support to Quality Auditors while promoting best practices and audit consistency across programs.
• Support quality governance activities, process standardization efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality outcomes, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
• Monitor compliance with client requirements, organizational policies, operational procedures, and established quality standards.
• Escalate significant quality risks, performance concerns, audit inconsistencies, and compliance issues to Quality Management with data-driven recommendations.
• Assist with new client implementations, process changes, quality program enhancements, and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Revenue Cycle Management, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle Management experience.
• 2-4 years of quality assurance, auditing, quality leadership, or operational support experience.
• Experience conducting quality audits, audit validations, calibrations, root cause analysis, and performance trend analysis.
• Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, operational workflows, client requirements, and quality assurance principles.
• Experience developing and maintaining quality dashboards, scorecards, and reporting.
• Ability to analyze performance data and translate findings into actionable recommendations that improve quality, compliance, and operational outcomes.
• Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and quality management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, drive continuous improvement, and support quality governance initiatives.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence and customer service quality.
